Today, I caught up with local stand-up Keith Lowell Jensen as he celebrates the release of his brand-new CD and DVD, Cats Made of Rabbits. Keith is the resident atheist comic in the multi-faith Co-Exist Comedy Tour. He’s also a sci-fi enthusiast, so I thought we might discuss science, comedy, and sci-fi.

Ideally, your local comic book store will have a great choice, or want to purchase titles for you. The shopkeeper can be an excellent individual to inquire about taking care of your comics, finding new titles, or simply talking about a story you enjoyed.
So exactly what was it then that drew in Lindberg to the role? Was he a fan of comic books his entire life and just excited to take on something bigger than life? Or was he trying to find a challenge? Well, maybe the latter, as Lindberg confessed he was “never ever truly into comics. [or] a genre fan of any sort” as a kid.

MN: Aside from artists I would emulate when I was more youthful like John Romita Sr. and John Byrne, there are much of my good friends operating in comics that I would consider motivations. It’s challenging and pretty humbling also. There’s no lack of motivation, though.
Jodie Foster is a two-time Academy Award winner for Best Actress, and film fans right away started whispering when Universal Studios revealed she signed on for the film. Foster normally takes on gritty and dark films that reveal the strength of her performing. She won an Oscar for “The Silence of the Lambs,” and her more current roles included films such as “Panic Room” and “The Brave One.” Many thought Foster would give the film a darker and more severe tone, however some wondered why she would star in such a movie. After Foster left the function, Mary-Louise Parker (“Weeds”) signed up with the cast.
